  We got Screeched in at Skipper Hots. We attended other Screech ins and in our humble opinion, you won't find a better one on the island. The house band is great and the locals were wonderful. Absolutely worth the trip. Check the schedule and make sure the house band is playing. Jim and Cindy

  Best place to drink late at night as it was the only place we could find that was open. Food was awesome and priced well.

  Skipper Hot's Band is the house band for the pub. They play traditional Newfoundland & Labrador music, a bit of Irish and some newer popular tunes. The accordion player Ford Blake is featured in the 2016 publication 'Where It's At' . Ern Hedderson is the lead singer for the band. Ern is well known Internationally and across Canada for his excellent Screech In's complete with certificate.Check out the schedule at Skipper Hot's Lounge is Open Year Round.

  Nice dive bar that you wish you had in your town. I missed hearing the live music by the houseband (the owner and other local guys), but chatted with some of the guys who were still there hanging out. Very sweet and enthusiastic musicians! I love the cd I bought. Sad to have missed them playing, which they do a few times a week in the summer. Good burger and fries. Nice local ambiance.
